The Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Computational Models of Arguments (COMMA 2016) are now available online, free-of-charge as open access, from IOS Press. The proceedings includes a paper Douglas Walton and I wrote about a new formal model of structured argument, used in Version 4 of Carneades, with better support for balancing arguments, cumulative arguments (“accrual”), and multi-criteria decision analysis: Gordon, Thomas F. and Walton, Douglas (2016). Unfortunately, the [version of the paper in the proceedings]((http://ebooks.iospress.nl/volumearticle/45272) includes a minor error in Definition 7 (Applicable Argument). The version of the paper available on my web site corrects this error.

Occassionally I get asked for copies of the slides of my keynote addess at the 2007 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Law at Stanford University, with the title “20 Years of ICAIL – Reflections on the Field of AI and Law”. The submission deadline for the RuleML 2015 is approaching. The annual International Web Rule Symposium (RuleML) is an “international conference on research, applications, languages and standards for rule technologies”. RuleML 2015 takes place from August 2-5, 2015, at the Free University of Berlin, in Berlin, Germany.
